Effective date: October 21, 2026
This policy explains how MintQuest: AI Card Grader (“MintQuest”, “the app”, “we”) handles information. The developer is Junhyeong Kim, an individual developer in the Republic of Korea. Short version: no account, no ads, no tracking, and we do not store your photos.
When you scan a card, the app sends resized JPEG photos of the front (and the back, if you add it), plus four zoomed corner crops per side, to our server. The server runs on Google Cloud Run in the United States and forwards the images to the Google Gemini API (paid tier) to produce the analysis. Google states that it does not use data sent through the paid Gemini API to train its models; under its Gemini API terms Google may keep requests for a limited period solely to detect abuse and policy violations. Our server does not store photos: they are processed in memory and discarded when the response is returned.
Our server logs keep a hashed user identifier, timestamps, model token counts, and the estimated grade number. Our hosting provider (Google Cloud) also records standard request logs, which include the IP address and device user agent of each request; we use them only for security, abuse prevention (for example daily fair-use limits) and troubleshooting. Logs contain no images.
Subscriptions are managed by RevenueCat, which processes an anonymous app user ID and purchase receipts. Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play); we never see your payment card details.
The app asks for camera and photo library access only so you can take or pick card photos. It does not access other photos.
Your Binder (scan history, results, and photos) is stored locally on your device only. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Before your first scan, the app asks for your explicit consent to send your card photos to our server and to Google Gemini for analysis. No photo is sent without this consent. You can withdraw consent at any time in the app under Options (menu icon) > AI Photo Consent. After withdrawal, no photo is sent until you consent again before your next scan.
We do not sell your data, do not share it for advertising, and do not track you across other apps or websites.
Because these providers are based in or operate from the United States and elsewhere, your data may be processed outside your country.
Photos: not retained on our server. Server logs (without images): kept only as long as needed for security and operations. On-device data: until you delete it or the app.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of data. We do not sell or share personal data.
Because we keep no photos and no account profile on our servers, there is no personal content for us to export or erase. Your scans exist only on your device, and you control them: delete individual scans in the Binder, or delete the app to remove everything. Our server logs hold only a hashed identifier that we cannot link back to you. Purchase records are held by Apple, Google and RevenueCat; contact them for requests about those records. If you want to ask anything or make a request, email ggprgrkjh2@gmail.com.
MintQuest is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will help.
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method is perfectly secure, but we limit what we collect to reduce risk.
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows the latest version, and material changes will be noted in the app or on this page.
